Overview
The following tables list eligible industries and occupations, outlined in New York State’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Perkins Plans, to help determine whether a workforce training program qualifies for Workforce Pell.
New York State uses the following plans to identify eligible industries and occupations for Workforce Pell:
- New York State Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Combined State Plan
- New York State Perkins V Plan
All Workforce Pell programs approved in New York State must lead to employment in occupations or industries listed in the above sources.
In addition to the industries and occupations outlined below, New York will include childcare and early education on its eligible list of industries and occupations through Workforce Pell.
