The New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies seeks a qualified contractor to serve as the Executive Director of the Commission. The Executive Director will spearhead the Commission’s tasks of examining the legacy of slavery, subsequent discrimination against people of African descent, and the impact these forces continue to have in the present day throughout New York State.
Proposals are due October 17, 2024, and interviews of qualified candidates are tentatively scheduled for the week of October 28th through the 31st. Proposals may be from an individual, a nonprofit organization, a college or university, or a business entity.
