JOB TITLE: Assistant Intake Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Intake Coordinator with the process of scheduling evaluations and placement of children, from initial contact with parents through CPSE meetings. Conduct evaluations as necessary. Principal Responsibilities: Conduct observations and write observation reports of children attending community programs who have been referred for evaluations. Prepare multidisciplinary summary for submission with evaluation for Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) initial review meetings. Create evaluation schedule and using electronic spreadsheet monitor the schedule to ensure that evaluations are completed within the mandated 20-day timeline. Compile data and submit spreadsheets at the end of each month on the number of evaluations completed and STAC5's submitted to CPSE for payment. Assist the intake coordinator schedule conferences with CPSEs and CSEs (turning 5-year-olds) and attend CPSE meetings. Follow up on all consultants and/or professional staff in completing all required evaluations and submissions of all administrative paperwork. Perform all tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: M.S in Special Education, New York State Certification in Special Ed. K-12 or Students With Disabilities Birth-Grade 2. A minimum of 3 years as a teacher of Students with Disabilities, Birth-Grade 2. Proficiency in Word, Excel and other computer applications preferred.
HOURS: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY: Assist classroom teacher in working with students in the areas of activities of daily living, transitioning from activities (including arrival and dismissal), organizing classroom and materials for instruction, and other non-instructional activities within the classroom. Escort students to and from the school buses at arrival and dismissal time. Escort students throughout the building outside of the classroom. Assist students during activities of daily living activities (e.g. hand washing, toileting). Assist teachers and teacher assistants in organizing classroom for instruction. Assist teachers in clerical activities not related to confidential files or materials. Assist in cleaning procedures in classroom to maintain health and safety of students. Follow policies and procedures of Early Learning Centers. Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Teacher's Aide Certification is not required. Two separate required fees for fingerprinting ($115 for Dept. of Education & $127 for Dept. of Investigation).
HOURS: Position is 6 hours per day, as needed. We may require employees to work 2 days to 5 days per week.
