Free Event Will Feature Live World Cup Match Broadcasts, Musical Performances, and Family-Friendly Activities
New York State United — 2026 World Cup Watch Experience at Stony Brook University is a free, day-long event invites soccer fans from Long Island and the surrounding regions to watch live broadcasts of FIFA World Cup matches, enjoy live music, participate in family-friendly activities, and celebrate New York’s role as a host region. Media Credentialing Information
All members of the media wishing to attend are required to have proper credentials. Event access can be requested by filling out the contact form on the event website.
Please include:
- Name
- Media outlet
- Phone number
- Whether you are attending as a reporter, photographer, and/or videographer
Please note that event capacity is limited and credential requests will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Media must RSVP by 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 11.
Arrival instructions will be provided following confirmation.
Media Access
- Credentialed media will be permitted to move throughout designated event areas, including stadium seating areas and approved field-level standing areas.
- A press riser will be available for photographers and videographers.
- A mult box will be available for audio recording from the stage.
Parking and Live Trucks
Parking is limited. Members of the media requiring parking accommodations should indicate that need when requesting credentials.
Television stations planning to bring live trucks should submit credential requests as soon as possible and provide the following information:
- Station name
- Arrival and departure times
- License plate number and state
- Vehicle make, model, color, and body type
- Driver name
- Driver’s license number
- Driver mobile phone number
Additional logistical information will be provided upon credential approval.
