As part of Governor Kathy Hochul’s Championing Albany’s Potential (CAP) Initiative, the first public workshop for the Downtown Albany Strategy is being held to gather community input for a plan to improve the downtown area over the next five to 10 years. The CAP initiative includes $200 million in funding to plan and implement projects and policies that reinvigorate commercial corridors, strengthen small businesses, promote housing growth, and revitalize underutilized real estate and open spaces.
