Overview
Steuben County is in the Southern Tier region of New York State, immediately north of the Pennsylvania border and is the largest county south of the Adirondack Mountains.
Key Aspects
Main Industries: Steuben County is home to Corning Incorporated, one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science. The bustling activity in the county's most heavily populated areas (Bath, Hornell, and Corning) nicely compliments the rolling hills and deep valleys where you’ll find dairy, field crop, and potato farms.
Award-winning wineries are located in and around the charming Village of Hammondsport. Museums of note include the Corning Museum of Glass (which houses the most extensive collection of historic & art glass in the world), the Rockwell Museum of Western Art (with the finest collection of Western & Native American Art east of the Mississippi) and the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum (where you’ll learn about one of the most brilliant men of the early 20th century).
