About the Role
The Ambassador program was established to be a resource for travelers who come through the Albany-Rensselaer train station. Ambassadors will provide information on local restaurants, accommodations, transportation, historic, cultural and other area points of interest etc.

Internship Title: Ambassador
Intern Responsibilities
Ambassador will greet all Amtrak Station customers seeking assistance and will provide the requested information in a courteous, friendly manner. Ambassadors listen carefully to customers’ needs and provide:
- Relevant printed material
- Google search when printed information is not available
- Verbal direction on where/how to access other station services
- Maintain organized, clean workstation
Required Skills
- Outgoing personality
- Good customer service skills
- Knowledge of City of Rensselaer and Capital District attractions, resources services etc.
- Basic proficiency with verbal and written communication
Technology Requirements: Basic technology skills (e.g. ability to search for local resources on smartphone, tablet or laptop
