STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR DAVID A. PATERSON
“Michelle and I would like to thank the neighborhood children for visiting the Executive Mansion to trick-or-treat and celebrate Halloween. This home belongs to the people of New York State and it was our pleasure to share it with so many costumed guests today. To be clear, all the children who stopped by got treats – not tricks. The tricks I’ll leave to any legislator who may stop by, but I warn them – I’m dressed as Jason and I’m serious about cutting the deficit. The First Lady and I wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween.”
