STATEMENT BY GOVERNOR DAVID A. PATERSON REGARDING THE SENATE CONFIRMATION OF COLONEL HARRY CORBITT

“I would like to commend and thank Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, Senators Michael Nozzolio, Chairman and Eric Adams, Ranker, of the Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Committee, as well as Chairman Owen Johnson and Ranking Member William Stachowski of the Senate Finance Committee, along with all of the members of the State Senate for their swift review and confirmation of my nomination for the Superintendent of the State Police. Colonel Harry Corbitt has a strong track record of leadership throughout his career in law enforcement, and has served with distinction as both a top administrator and a field commander. We as New Yorkers are fortunate to have Colonel Corbitt at the helm of our outstanding State Police.”
