GOVERNOR ELIOT SPITZER ANNOUNCES A SPECIAL ELECTION

Governor Eliot Spitzer today announced a special election in the 65th Assembly District in New York County. This vacancy was created by Assemblymember Alexander B. Grannis' confirmation as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

The special election is scheduled for May 22, 2007.
