Built in 1856, 138 Eagle Street has been home to New York State governors and their families since 1875. Situated on a hill overlooking the Hudson River, the Executive Mansion has extended hospitality to citizens of the Empire State, the nation and the world. The Mansion’s rich history has been built by the eclectic contributions of each first family.
As we work to restore New York to its full greatness, we will also reinstate the Executive Mansion as a proud symbol for all New Yorkers. Inspired by its history and the visionary leaders who resided in it, we will use the house and its resources to foster dynamic ideas and programs to be shared with our immediate community and beyond.
We hope you enjoy your visit, whether online or in person, and will return soon and often!
Tours of the Mansion are offered on Thursday at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00 p.m., to groups of 10 or more, up to a maximum of 30 visitors. Reservations are required and must be made at least two weeks in advance. All tours are free of charge. To schedule a tour, please contact Office of General Services Curatorial and Tour Services:
