Earlier this year , Governor Spitzer laid out a set of bold, fresh and innovative policies that will help us Revitalize Upstate. Chief among them is a $1 Billion Upstate Revitalization Fund that will jump start economic development through out Upstate New York. Since then, over 500 New Yorkers have signed up as endorses.

Governor Spitzer recently announced the formation of the New York State Council for Universal Broadband. The Council is charged with developing strategies for ensuring every New Yorker has access to affordable, high-speed Internet service. Increased access to broadband service combined with digital literacy programs will dramatically improve social, cultural and educational opportunities for all New Yorkers. Eliot SpitzerEliot Spitzer was inaugurated as New York’s 54th Governor on January 1, 2007. In his inaugural address, Governor Spitzer said: "Every policy, every action and every decision we make in this administration will further two overarching objectives: We must transform our government so that it is as ethical and wise as all of New York, and we must rebuild our economy so that it is ready to compete on the global stage in the next century".
